Independence Day 2017

"If you Pledge Alligence to this Flag, then you love this country, you accept the good and the bad. It does not matter what race, color, or creed you are. You are American and you fight for our country. You protect her from all enemies, foreign and domestic. You defend our Democracy til your last breath. It is our privilege to live here. The Founders believed, and so do I, that "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." 

There are some that are saying, why? Why should we honor a country that enslaved black people, slaughtered natives, stole land from Mexicans, put Japanese in internment camps, and list goes on. The history of this country has not been pretty. Forming a perfect union continues to be hard. But it is us, you and me, who set the path. We are "by the people, for the people". We elect our representatives. And each time we do, we set a direction, and we hope or not, to follow. What happened in the past was horrible! The country did aweful things none of us are proud of. But the people have to make sure that never happens again. Every protest, every legal battle, every phone call, and every post on FB, the People guide this country. I beleive in the People. There is good there.

Excellent!  If you had a chance to watch you would know what I'm talking about.  The parallels of the Nixon Watergate Investigation and the Trump Investigation are eerily similar.  Must watch again.
